Whole30 Mango BBQ Sauce Recipe

The Whole30 diet is NOT that difficult if you know how to replace certain banned ingredients. For example, we've got this Mango BBQ Sauce that fits perfectly within the diet and you wouldn't even know unless I told you that it was compliant. Anyways, I like to use this sauce on top of ribs or some other pork product. It goes particularly well with a smoker if you've got one. The smokey and sweet flavors compliment each other very well.

Ingredients:

- Onion

- Green Pepper

- Garlic

- Jalapeño

- Mangoes

- Avocado Oil

- Tomatoes

- Tomato Paste

- Apple Cider Vinegar

- Pitted Dates

- Ground mustard seed

- Smoked Paprika

- Chili Powder

- Garlic Powder

- Onion Powder

- Ground Cayenne

- Salt & Pepper to taste

Directions:

  1. Chop onion, pepper, garlic, and mango.

  2. Add oil to a pan and heat over medium heat.

  3. Once hot, add the onion, pepper, garlic, and mango to the pan and sautée for a few minutes.

  4. Once the onions are translucent add the tomatoes, tomato paste, apple coder vinegar, and dates - bring to a boil.

  5. Add in the ground seasonings.

  6. Once you've got a solid boil going (not to soft, not to rough) turn the heat down to a simmer and cover.

  7. Finally, add all ingredients into a food processor or blender to smoothen out into a nice sauce.
